Hello from the Young Octogenarian!
I hope to be writing more frequently soon, which as you may have noticed, I have said before. It turned out to be a forlorn hope for the entire month of May. It seemed that one day it was May 1st, and a moment of two later it was June! Not only had I not written anything, I had not even been able to read my mail, whether postal or email.
But I did get to practice flute and saxophone and play solos in two musical extravaganzas at a local Puerto Rican organization. I am fascinated by Latin music, which I am trying to learn. So far, my efforts have been well received, and I have been asked to play on a Spanish language radio program today. I played sax last week and will play flute at noon today (It is now 4:00 a.m.). For my solos on stage, I used a theme of favorite cities, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco ,” “ New York , New York ,” and “En Mi Viejo San Juan.” On the broadcast I will do the last two. I am accompanied by Karaoke CD’s, which are inflexible, of course. I much prefer live musicians.
But enough of that. Let’s get back to health matters. This time I want to begin what will probably be an ongoing subject, obesity and how to overcome it.
I realize that this is a subject of vast interest, much frustration, and considerable damage to health. It is often related to dangerous diabetic conditions, and exacerbates other health problems, as well.
I don’t know if you have noticed how Rush Limbaugh copes with it. He has a tendency to put on excess weight, but has found diets that work and is currently losing so much extra poundage that his listeners who watch his video camera on line have clamored for information of how he loses so much so fast. He replied that his diet is so complex that he cannot describe it on the air; it would take too much time. Also, he has professional help in its preparation.
Remember, I am not a health professional, but a writer who finds valuable information from the real experts to help you improve your health. I am increasingly disgusted by the way the medical profession insists on not only ignoring but even persecuting doctors who think “outside the box.” The mainstream establishment chooses to believe the claims of the pharmaceutical industry, which has very selfish financial motives and skews tests and research. I do not like to believe that, but the evidence is overwhelming. I am convinced also that the FDA, the governmental agency charged with policing the pharmaceutical companies, is not doing a good job, and that is an understatement.
Obesity
My recent research led to some really good information for you about obesity. Catherine’s Choice™ has products that combat it effectively, the most recent being the acai berry. While several other companies have good acai products, we add pure aloe vera gel powder, as we do with almost all of our products. In addition to its beneficial effects, the aloe gel is very synergistic and makes other ingredients much more effective.
In this article, my first discussion about obesity, I will be reporting on a newer discovery and product we do not yet have. This is something we really want to add to our line, but it will be a while before we can find and test the quality of the ingredient that will be the most important part of this product.
If you want to safely and easily lose weight, you can start with the present acai product, Catherine’s Choice™ Super Amazon Acai Berry. The regular price for 120 capsules is $45.97, plus shipping and handling. As an introductory special, I’m offering you a bottle for $19.97, plus shipping and handling. To take advantage of this special limited introductory offer, call 1-877-ALOE or click the here!
Catherine’s Choice™ Super Amazon Acai Berry also has a number of other benefits. Dr. Nicholas Perricone calls acai “a super food to rejuvenate the body.” It’s one of Oprah’s “top ten super foods for age-defying beauty.” And according to Matt Lauer, it’s also known as “The Viagra of the Amazon.”
We believe the Amazon Acai Berry is one of the most potent antioxidant and adaptogenic herbs known. It has ten times the antioxidant power of grapes. It is known to boost energy and stamina. It sharpens mental focus, helps you get a good night’s sleep, supports healthy cholesterol levels, and is rich in heart-healthy Omega-3 and Omega-6 EFAs! And it helps you lose weight.
Recently there have been many video shots in the newscasts of Miss California , who had lost a good chance to be Miss USA by correctly answering a stupid question about same sex marriage. She was most often shown walking on the beauty contest runway in a bikini. This revealed the fact that she is not only beautiful, but has a perfect figure. Her abdomen is perfectly flat, and I will now explain how you can achieve the same flatness in your body. It turns out to be important in preserving your health, as well.
The new product I mentioned as being under development for future availability will contain a flavonoid named glabridin, a natural substance found in black licorice root. Glabridin has been proven in several studies on both animals and humans to reduce body weight, to reduce waist circumference, to reduce abdominal fat, to help control blood glucose, to reduce formation of visceral fat and to shrink visceral fat deposits.
This last feature is most important, for visceral fat, the deep abdominal fat that surrounds major organs, is the source of metabolic syndrome, a condition in which blood sugar, blood lipids and blood pressure are poorly controlled. It is becoming recognized as a major indicator of such diseases as coronary artery disease, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and possibly even cancer. The strongest indicator of metabolic syndrome is visceral fat, which is the fat that makes the abdomen protrude. It makes the waist expand with what is called your “spare tire,” and has been the most difficult fat build up to reduce for both men and women.
Visceral fat is only a small part of total body fat, and reducing it will not take off very many pounds, but it is much more important as a hazard to health. And of course, most of us would like to have a flat belly, not a fat one.
There is an excellent product now on the market that does reduce visceral fat. It is called Glabrinex and is manufactured and sold by Vitamin Research Products, 800-877-2447; www.vrp.com. Don’t expect great loss of weight, but you can expect inches off the waist with proper use of this product.
Next time I will continue with more about reducing obesity. I think it is a very important subject, and I hope to help you if this is a concern of yours. Thank you for being health conscious.
Warren,
The Young Octogenarian
